hello group,

i have a basic franz electric metronome that i have used for over thirty years, they are built like a tank. i am interested in knowing more about digital metronomes and what they offer, and if you use one, what do you use and why ???

                   thanks

there is probably ipod software that does this now.
i used a big old franz for years.  finally it stopped working properly after i had dropped it for the millionth time.
problem with franz is they are large and must be plugged into the wall.
i am now using a little wittner mt50 pocket metronome.  it is small, uses a battery, and it works very well.  you can use the click, the flashing light, or both.  it's not digital, though.  it's quartz and has a dial.

i think there are fancy digital models on the market now that will give you different rhythm backgrounds, not just tic, tic.

and there is this:
