if you are looking for a vocal coach here is some criteria that i think is good

if you were looking for a piano teacher you would want someone who could play the piano in a very accomplised manner.

no different for the voice. you shouldn't let anyone who can't sing good "now" tell you anything

why should you? you have a natural instrument.

a vocal coach or teacher is a powerful position and not all are emotionally healthy or professionally good enough to be doing it.

i hope you will listen to me on this--

if they can't sing well---- how in the world could you let them have power over your instrument??

i'll put in in my simple words. if your prospective teacher sounds like a "moose in heat" when they sing--it probably is unwise to listen to anything they have to say---duh!!!

there are so many loonies and wannabees swarming with their scams and desperations--- and hey, if you are a good singer, they are gonna latch onto you---cause---guess what??? you got what they always wanted to have---a singing voice!!!

i vocal coach three celebrities---who approached me to do so and they were good when they came to me--that's my criteria now. i don't wanna hear someone who can't sing, although i did once break my criteria---but never again.

i'm not soliciting for coaching. i have a career and only do it in my spare time, but i gotta tell you i am afraid for some of you that might be vulnerable and give your instrument over to a "looneytune"

just ask your prospective coach to sing for you. if you are not impressed---pass. there are plenty of professional singers who are good that also coach,so don't let anyone take your money or heart
who can't show you that they have excelled as a singer.

doesn't matter if the coach as been famous or not---but does matter if they are an "el poinson loco"---and believe me those that are frustrated and can't sing and never could-- are out there and they want your voice and your money and have no hesitiation in taking your money and puffing up their ego by taking control of your voice.

never give your voice to a "controller"

i know a word to the wise is never sufficient

i am afraid for you gifted ones that might get harmed by these nutsos.

just be sure they are a good singer before you listen to one word of advice from them

i care a lot about this---

i want you to have the joy that i  know---and you can---if you stay the hell away from the "scamjammers"

a good vocal coach is your best friend if you get a good one

your destroyer-----if they don't know what they are doing with your voice and you listen to their  advice and theories.

i love you gifted singers----i sure do!!!!!

ok, what's the rule now??? "if they can't sing super good---they can't tell me nothin'!!!

right!!!!

i have a slogan for my music business. it is "the art of integrity"

listen to those who want your gifts protected and not to those who want to "own them"
