if you are a singer/musician writer, remember when you used to wake up in the night with this melody, those words, that idea and had that wonderful feeling that can only come from your own creativity.you couldn't wait to get to a keyboard or grab a piece of paper in the middle of the night----

remember when you wrote words on place mats in restaurants, on the back of receipts and "panicked" when you couldn't find that incredible thought that would change the universe----and worst of all that one in a lifetime thought that you had while driving or whevever you were---that you could no longer remember and kicked yourself for disrespecting your muse and not paying any attention to her. i consider myself a bit of a muse for artists so i said "her"---but your muse may be a guy----mine is----

in any case i know who you are because "i am the i of you" and "you are the i of me" because we are the singer/musician/writers. we recognize one another----we need each other. the greatest gift of all is to be "understood" and we are the only ones who can "get" each other to such an uncanny degree.

if you feel you have lost that spark----take a look at your life---are you surrounded by those who feed and nurture your gifts---cherish them---or is your life filled with "emotional vampires" and are you  unequipped with a "swatter" for those pesky "wannabees" that swarm you because you placate them and tell them what they wanna hear?

this lady, these days, can spot any detrement to my art---and when you are fully committed to yours----so will you--i have always said that the most important thing for a gifted artist(not talking about those who have a little talent)----everyone does) at any rate the most important thing for you---- to be able to do to protect your gifts--- is to recognize "ally from enemy"---who is the ally? one who loves what you do, encourages it and believes with every fiber of their being that if you commit to your art you will have the world----who is an enemy? one who takes your time with catering to their whims and who will be happy for your success only if you don't equal or go beyond what they perceive as success. some people are sleeping with the enemy, but this lady won't---he could be the hunk beyond hunks and unless he loves what i do---at least enough to be positive with me about my dreams---he ain't gettin' near this lady.  not a chance.

you know, god doesn't join everyone together, not every couple, band or musical alliance----"desperation" is very often the "joiner"--a bad bed partner and if you court it and live it---forget having any success that will be of great measure.

ok---- enough of my "sage stuff".

this is the dumb stuff bev thinks about when i have a free nanosecond.

does "bi polar" mean a bear that swings both ways??

now back to serious----

you know what i wish for you singer/musician/ writers??

"that you find and embrace your own personal truth borne of "who you really are" and dare to live it beyond tradition, hypocracy, or apology"

yes i do.

i'm fit as a fiddle now.
