i can't find a anything to verify this. nothing on the web. if this is true then it would have been made public by now. i hope he's still with us.
show a reliable source before posting something like this (like what newspaper?)
ive spent an hour trapsing the internet to find out if this is true and im 99.9% sure its rubbish.  its now 3 days later, surely it would have been over the news and in all the papers where ever not just canada!  as mo jazz says make sure that this is true before posting it.
quit scaring everyone.

i dont think hes dead, but i admit i checked out various jazz news sites and found nothing

whew!
dude - please don't report stuff like this until you know for sure.  i'm sure there would have been something here:

https://www.oscarpeterson.com/
i think rumors of his death are premature.
the website "dead or alive" shows nothing of peterson dying, and it's been my experience they are right up-to-the-minute.
antijv, according to my very reliable source he has not died.

could you have your friend provide proof?
now luciano pavorotti, he's dead. sad.
pavarotti, not jazz, or even pop, but the man had soul.  one of his last televised performances that i saw was on leno, and it was just him and a 9-10 piece latin band, singing a sad song that didn't sound like any opera rep that i know of.  and yet he put it across beautifully.

on a side note, did anyone else see this or know what it was?
also, he was wearing a multi-colored hawaiian-esque shirt (not a tux) if it helps.
god tell me he's not dead.

beethovens dead i found that out this morning.
hahahahhahaha just kiding.
jazz is dead. really! i heard a grateful dead fan say it. it must be true...
