hi all,
i used to have a very nice recording of bill evans playing "all of you" - the version where he uses lots of tritone subs. i like it very much, but i can't seem to find it again, i thought it was on portrait in jazz, but it wasn't when i looked. i had the cd years ago, just gettin back into jazz a bit again so i've only a hazy idea of how it went. if somebody could point me in the right direction towards what cd it is, i'd be very grateful, i want to hear it again. i've found other versions of he he plays, but not this particular one.

an anticipating,

gill

i don't know if this will help, but go to emusic.com.  they have almost all of his recording available.  use the page's search button to search on the artist name and song title.  you should be able to hear 30 second clips of all of his versions of all of you.  maybe one of them will jog your memory.
hi there,
thanks 2 both of you for the help with that. i haven't yet found it but i'm hot on its tail and have an idea now of what cd it may be on. and elwapo, i can only imagine what adventures you're having in cancun! it's nice to talk to you too. yeh, i'm still hovering on the perimeter of the jazz scene while making baby steps in a journalistic direction

three takes of "all of you" are on the "sunday at the village vanguard" cd.
