how many members use sibelius?  what do you use it for?  are there any alternative programs that are easy and might do some of the same things?

i switched from finale and encore since 2006 now i use sibelius 6.2. you can make professional scores with it in few munites better than finale and easy to learn in few minutes. finale is more complex, with sibelius you can achieve your task within 1 2 or 3 clicks, while with finale you will sure have headaches!

good luck!
i use sibelius 3 and love it!  i mainly whip up quick lead sheets.  i also use to write charts for singers.  transposing is a cinch.  the only complaint i've heard is that the default font size for chord symbols prints smaller than it appears on screen, so i push those babies up a few notches (usually around 17-18pt)...maybe that has been resolved in later versions?
dr, whack: try sibelius 6.2 demo and see how wonderful it is!
i use a program notation comp;oser.
an inexpensive wonderful notation program.
there's a trial version where you can cehck it out
one of the features i like is the clean way it will display a the separtation of treble and bass clef notes on a piano midi file.

sorry the links are the same.  you scroll down for the download
also excuse the typos.
sibelius seems to have become the industry standard. if you use a cheaper alternative you will have endless compatibility problems with other musicians! but if you're not planning any file sharing that might not be an issue...
notation composer is just for windows.  so if you still live in the dark ages and dont have a mac yet i guess that looks good.
i have a mac and an ipad too mike.
i'm talking about a program not a computer.
me too... that program does not work on decent quality computers.
