hello everyone i'm a newbie to the site.
ok..i played piano as a kid. once around 7yrs old and then around 12 but dropped it because i wanted to play pop/rock etc. and none of the teachers would do that. jump forward 40+ yrs later and i've been playing guitar for years but am not a good sight reader. oddly enough even though i virtually never play the piano i still have speed and some coordination in my right hand. it just comes natural...so.
here's what i'm looking for. as an example when i was in 7th grade i took typing...before pc was even a word and hated it. in the 1980's i purchase the mavis beacon? typing program that was interactive. i looked at the screen and started with fff....jjj....ffjj...fjjf...etc. in two weeks of 20 min/night i could type without thinking about it. i'm looking for an interactive piano software program to do the same thing. if you have to think about typing a letter or playing a note it's tooooo long. it must be sub-conscious...you just know it. the typeing program did that for me. any suggestions on a good piano software learning program? sorry for the long note....i type fast..lol
